A. In pot of water add bite size pieces of chicken and bouillon cube. Boil to make broth. Take out chicken and add bite size pieces of biscuits. When done if you still want to put it in a crock pot this would be the time(on low). If not add chicken and veggies and simmer for 10 mins.

A. Bouillon comes in cubes or instant. 1 cube makes 1 cup of bouillon. I keep chicken and beef bouillon on hand. You can buy it in any grocery store in the soup/sauces section. Hope this helps.

How did I mess up my homemade chicken soup?
Q. Two nights ago I made chicken soup. The next morning after refrigerating it I checked on it and it was foamy at the top and bubbling! I thought that was very odd, so I put it back and checked it later that night and it was simply foul. It stunk badly and tasted vinegary. It's the 4th time I had ever made homemade chicken soup and it was quite delicious the night I made it before refrigerating it, so I don't know what I had done wrong. I'll explain more. It was a rather large pot. I'm guessing 4 gallons. I used a whole package of frozen cut carrots, a whole package of frozen peas, a large package of frozen cut broccoli, and a half a package of frozen corn. All Walmart bagged brands. The other ingredients was pepper, garlic salt, chicken… [cont.]

A. The only thing I can think off, is maybe the soak pad in the boiling water caused it to break down a bit. Who knows what is in those soak pads? When you washed off the chicken did you wash it under the skin as well and inside the cavity? Since the water was boiling there should be no harmful bacteria in the water. So I don't think that was the problem unless the storage container was not closed or not covered. Or cross contamination from an raw chicken spoon stirring up the room temperature soup. (Almost happened a few times) When it comes with raw chicken, think sterile techniques. Edit: The People here has a good idea, buy a fridge temperature (around 10 bucks) and keep an eye on it.

Is that healthy? How long could I keep doing that with jeopardizing his health? I was thinking of adding some wet Blue Buffalo dog food to his dry food. A. Blue buffalo is a very hard to chew and even harder to digest food. My chihuahuas get fat from 1/2 cup per day and they weigh 9 pounds in perfect fit condition. Weighing your dog regularly will tell you if he is doing ok. I think 1/3 cup is pretty good for a 3 pound dog. But look at the label on the bag of food to see if that is within normal daily feeding range.

What is chicken base, is it the same as chick stock or bullion?
Q. I have a recipe for a soup that calls for chicken base and I'm not sure what that is and I've looked at my local store. I am wondering if stock or bullion is the same. Thanks
Asked by viv - Fri Jan 2 11:56:49 2009 - Cooking & Recipes - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Chicken base is powered stock. Bullion is in cubes, stock in liquid and base is the powder stock. If your recipe calls for powder then use the powered base.Look for the yellow OXO (with the bull) in powered form. If its a liquid measure then just add water to it or get canned stock.

Does this diet plan sound good?
Q. Take a look at the diet plan below and tell me what you think. Rapid Weight Loss Plan General Information This diet is also a fast and is fat- burning. The key is that you will burn many more calories than you will take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well- being. This diet does no lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time b/c of the removal of fat build- up in your system. Go off the diet for at least twenty-hours before consuming any alcohol. Because each person's digestive system is different, this diet will not have the same effect on everyone. Tips to become a vegetarian?
Q. I am 14 years old and for about a year I have been thinking of being a vegetarian because 1. To be a healthy person and 2. I believe animals are a very important part of our earth. Can any vegetarians give me tips. My parents are Nigerian so most of their meals include meat (THey even put chicken bullion cubes in a lot of their own food) and I don't think they would be very supportive. I've tried to mention it to them but I don't think they would take me seriously or listen. Also, is it very hard to find food options to eat in restaurants and amusement parks ?(I don't want to eat salad all the time). What food should I have to substitute the meat that I don't eat? SHould I start as a pescatarian and work from there? DId you have problems… [cont.]

A. - Also, is it very hard to find food options to eat in restaurants and amusement parks No. - DId you have problems missing meat No. - I can still have milk and eggs right If you can stand the taste of eggs. Those who eat eggs and dairy are called lacto-ova vegetarians. Eating balanced meals as recommended in the Harvard Eating Pyramid and exercising at your target heart rate is the best way to keep fit. Note that meat is only a very small part of the pyramid. It's easy to substitute other items.

A. That's how you make chicken bouillon; cans & cubes are short-cuts. I always add onion, celery, & carrots, anyway; sometimes a bay leaf.
