I am a woman of color with amber eyes how do I make them stand out?
Q. might I add my skin color is like a mixture of carmel and toffee and my hair color is reddish brown.

A. I am a makeup artist. Amber eyes are a very light brown with strong yellow tones. The best colors to use on the eyes are purples and blues. They contrast significantly with the yellow in the eyes to make them stand out dramatically. Opt for a smokey plum, it would really suit your skin tone as well. Hope this helps! :)

A. I would use a very pale, pale gold for the high light under the brow bone...they have some that are near white with golden shimmer...then a near gray that is near black OR a very deep cocoa/copper...using colors that are this rich you can vary the intensity on the lid making it darker to lighter as needed according to your eye shape...blending into the highlighter...then use a black eyeliner on top and bottom, smudging a bit to give it a smoked look...and then of course a good eye mascara, using it a bit more intensely on the outer edge to build up on the outside lashes.

Q. My eye color is Amber. The only person on both sides of my family to ever have Amber eyes other than me is my Great Great Grandma. Who weirdly enough, I look almost identical to (Not joking around, almost like I could be her). I was wondering what nationality has Amber eyes. A. Yes it's rare, Asians usually have brown eyes. But it's not rare if you're mixed, with a different race, well sort of. If one of your parent have brown eyes, then you will most likely have brown eyes, because brown is a dominate physical trait. Unless they have a reccessive trait. Lol sorry about all the science, I don't think its werid, You have hazel eyes, which I'm jealous of :P, because people who have hazel eyes, means that their eye color changes color, to like you described, golden honey, a bit of green. A. well, i am not a professional, but these are some recommendations: if u have hazel eyes, you should look for more of a poppy color like sky blue, neon pink, glaring green and yahoo! yellow...i know the names are sorta weird...and here a number one pro make-up tip: never let your makeup match your clothes, nails etc. and another thing you should do is wear eyeliner with your eyeshadow (maybelline?) and mascara (maybelline) the mascara you should try tp really make ur eyes noticeable is volume curve flex that is the best kind.well good luck!

A. Oh your gorgeous,! I have light blue/grey/green eyes and I find that if you highlight your eye with a shimmering shade of tan in the corner it makes the color pop. Now for the eyeshadow try browns and Grey's:)

A. eye color does not follow mendelian genetics: eyes are not either blue or brown, but a gradient. human eyes are innately gray or blue, however the amount of pigmentation coded in your genes causes the spectrum of different eye colors (green, light brown, dark brown, etc.). there are several genes that control multiple pigments involved in eye color and how much of each of these your iris cells create determines your unique eye color. with amber eyes, your eyes create a lot of lipochrome, a yellowish pigment also apparent in green eyes. the brown comes from melanin, the same pigment that creates a tan.
